NOTE: Today is the anniversary of the landings and battle in Normandy in 1944 during World War 2, commonly known as Operation Overlord or “D-Day”. Over 36,976 were killed, 153,475 were wounded and 19,221 are still missing (from June 6th to August 31st).  As a military veteran, I remember those who lost their lives that day, were injured, or are still missing in an effort to free Europe from Nazi tyranny and oppression. May their deeds that day never be forgotten. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13 KJV).
